Holika Holika Pig Nose Clear Blackhead 3 Step Kit

The latest craze for blackhead cleansing is taking social media by storm. The likes of the Pimple Popper of Instagram and YouTube along with endless beauty vlogs of removal of blackheads up close means more and more people are aware of their clogged pores.

What a lot of people do not realise is that some means of reducing your pores, cleaning the skin and removing blackheads can be very damaging to the skin.

Previously I have used professional meals of cleansing my skin. Treatments like Micro Dermabrasion every few months tends to make my skin feel ultra clean and renews the surface. Other than this I have at home peels and professional peels in a cosmetic clinic to refresh my skin and avoid fine lines.

I love make up and it can clog the skin, unfortunately I also suffer from enlarged pores so with the mix of makeup and large pores means blackhead haven.

I was looking for a means of removing blackheads from the delicate skin on my nose at home, it needed to be gentle and easy to do and most importantly work!

I found the Holika Holika Pig Nose Clear Blackhead kit. Holika Holika, a quirky Korean cosmetic retailer is literally an infant in the beauty world. Established in 2010 it has taken the world by storm and one of the reasons is its eventful use of packaging. The name along is eye catching enough, along with the cute and quirky, K-Pop style packaging it appeals to a young audience, those with the most skin issues!

It is also extremely affordable and available to buy online in retailers like Amazon!

I choose the three step kit, which I must admit takes some figuring out. My strips arrived with images not written directions but once I got the hang of apply the strips it was easy sailing. The idea is that the first strip opens the pores gently, the second then removes the blackheads and the third minimises for the pores.

Each strip needs to be placed on the nose for 10-15 minutes so it is not an easy fix but it is totally worth the effort!

I didn’t have high expectations, after all it’s a budget product and the packaging although fun did not fill me with confidence. However, it has to be one of my all-time favourite products. You can buy online for a reasonable price for something that can be used monthly. I recommended once a month a beauty splurge day when you really treat your skin.
