Looking for Christmas Gifts! Try Give Me Cosmetics

Give Me Cosmetics is a one stop shop for all your hair and beauty products. I am so pleased I found this online superstore for beauty before Christmas as it is perfect for gifting.

With black Friday deals, offers on new subscribers and brilliant pricing it’s a no brainer for me to add this to the Christmas list. They do stocking fillers, gift bundles and of course individual items so you can pick your favourites.

I choose a range of items, some suitable as gifts and others perfect kits for my own use at brilliant prices.

Aloe Vera & Coconut Oil Full Haircare Set

A 6-piece haircare gift set: shampoo, conditioner (both sulphate & silicone free), hair mask, heat defence spray, hair repair cream, and a brush. From the product page: “Gentle, sulphate- & silicone-free care.”

Worth £57.94 but reduced to £19.99!

I don’t usually buy hair kits but this is a brilliant offer and also I needed some serious TLC for my hair. My scalp and hair have been feeling more unpredictable lately: more dryness, occasional itchiness, maybe increased shedding/fragility. I wanted haircare that is gentle (since my scalp is more sensitive) and not loaded with heavy silicones or harsh sulfates which could aggravate scalp/skin. I also liked that the bundle gives multiple products (so you can use a full routine) which for me helps when hormones.

After the first wash: my scalp felt a little more comfortable, the shampoo didn’t leave it feeling stripped (which sometimes happens with hormonal scalp/skin). The aloe vera seemed to help calm a bit of that “tightness”.

The conditioner & mask felt richer without being heavy; my ends (which have felt more brittle lately) seemed a little less frizzy. Overall the bundle made me feel like I was treating my hair with care rather than just “getting by”. One big plus was the hairbrush which feels like a mini massage!

Pick n Mix Glazed Lip Oil Bundle – Set of 4

Worth £47.96, on offer for £29.99

A set of four lip oils (you pick your shades) from Give Me Cosmetics. From the site: gives you “hydration and shine” with a “glossy, non-sticky finish” and a “cooling metal applicator”.

This is advertised as a gift kit but why not treat yourself!

Pregnancy often means my lips feel more dry, sometimes cracked, sometimes pigment shifts; so I like lip products that are hydrating and kind rather than heavy or irritating. A vegan-friendly, more natural-feeling formula (as part of my “kind items” ethos) is important. The bundle gives variety (4 shades) so I can pick depending on mood/face-changes. Which is does appear to on a daily basis at the moment!

On application: felt comfortable, not sticky, and my lips looked plumper/healthier. After a few days I noticed my lips felt less “tight” (which they often do during hormonal fluctuations) and the finish looked fresh. It is all down to the hydrating oils (jojoba, rosehip) are good for lips especially when they might be more dry or sensitive.

If your lips are extremely sensitive or you avoid all petrolatum/fragrance then you might look for a more “clean-only” lip oil, but for most this is a smart, affordable pick.

The Hyaluronic Hydrate Bundle

Worth £45.96, selling for £21.99

A skincare bundle of four “skin-loving” products, designed to give intense hydration and moisturisation. From product page: “Curated with four skin-loving products … everything you need for the most hydrated, moisturised skin you’ve ever had.”

Hormone shifts mean my skin sometimes swings between oily zones + dry patches, sensitivity, redness; I also notice less “plumpness” than when I wasn’t pregnant. So something focused on hydration (rather than strong actives) is appealing.

One thing that caught my eye was the serum as a spray! I am super clumsy at the moment and fiddly bottles or glass pipets are not my friend. A spray I can use on my face and neck is far easier and safer!

On the website there isn’t a full detailed ingredients list for the bundle (that I found in quick scan) but the brand emphasises hyaluronic acid, vitamin E & tripeptides in their “Deep Hydration Serum”.

Using the bundle (cleanser/hydration products) morning & evening: my skin felt more even in hydration. The “tight” dry patches (especially around cheeks/jaw) felt calmer.

Under make-up it gave a smoother base (not slippery, but plumped). I felt comfortable using this during pregnancy (since I wasn’t introducing heavy actives or strong exfoliants) which was a big plus for me.

If you’re seeking very strong anti-ageing or blemish-treatment (like heavy retinol, aha/bha) this is more gentle/hydration-focused so may be slower in results.

This is definitely something I am packing in my hospital bag.
